Sharing the Peace of Christ

*Song of Gathering

O The Deep Deep Love Of Jesus

O the deep deep love of Jesus Vast unmeasured boundless free Rolling as a mighty ocean In its fullness over me Underneath me all around me Is the current of Thy love Leading onward leading homeward To Thy glorious rest above

O the deep deep love of Jesus Spread His praise from shore to shore How He loveth ever loveth Changeth never nevermore How He watches o’er His loved ones Died to call them as His own How for them He intercedeth Watcheth o’er them from the throne

O the deep deep love of Jesus ‘Tis a heav’n of heav’ns to me And it lifts me up to glory For it lifts me up to Thee

Prayer of Confession

O God, we ae gathered across the miles to worship you, yet ofttimes we feel apart from you. And so we complain, whining about wearing masks and other inconveniences of life. Yet, when we look around we see how much better off we are than some of our neighbors: the hungry cry out for food, the socially isolated wish for a hand to hold, those who can’t be present for a loved one’s death wish this pandemic was simply over!

Teach us to live in the beauty of your love. Remind us of the struggles of our forefathers and foremothers. Keep us in your loving care and help us know how to share that care with each other. Be with us as we confess our sins and depend on you to set our mind aright. In Christ we pray. Amen

*Affirmation of Faith

The Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
he descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of
God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge
the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost,
the holy catholic church;
the communion of saints;
the forgiveness of sins;
the resurrection of the body;
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayers of the People and the Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we
forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the
power, and the glory, forever.
