Worship At Home 5-24-2020
What began as a sprint, has become a marathon, and we are hopeful the finish line is closer than before. We have learned and been reminded, that we are the church wherever we are and that our unity is in Christ Jesus. During this time we have slowed down and reconnected with family, and have had to be intentional in making space for connections. As the community around us begins to return to in person experiences, it is more difficult to return to in person worship. Our rituals and the nature of worship are an embodied experience and invite physical touch and connection in so many ways. We have a team working through the necessary items to create a space that allows us to worship God, while also doing what we can do to keep one another safe.
Our current plan is to return to worship towards the end of summer. This gives us the time needed to implement the changes that need to be made. While we recognize many in the FAITH family are ready and comfortable coming to worship in person, we acknowledge many in the FAITH family will still feel safer at home. We are working hard to be prepared to live stream the services, so no matter where you choose to worship, we can all worship together at the same time with the similar worship experiences.
As the team fleshes out the plans and is able to pinpoint an exact date, we will communicate that with you. In the meantime, continue to expect Worship videos on Facebook, Bible Studies and opportunities for checking in each week on Webex. I continue to be available for any needs that arise. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
