Post-Advent Series

Pastor Matthew’s current sermon series explores meaningful passages from Paul’s letters, intentionally connected to issues and hopes in daily life. Each Sunday will feature a key Pauline epistle, a Psalm, and a Gospel passage, inviting us to deeper faith, practical discipleship, and spiritual renewal.

All are welcome - bring a friend!

December 14, 2025 - Advent III

  • This Advent III message looks at John the Baptist’s question from prison in Matthew 11:1–6 and the promise of a blooming desert in Isaiah 35. In a world of rising anxiety, disappointment, and unanswered prayers, even faithful people can feel like they’ve ended up in a “prison” or “wilderness” they never chose. Through John’s doubts and Israel’s desert, we explore the good news that “even in our doubts and disappointments, Jesus the promised healer is already making the desert bloom.” This sermon invites us to name our own prisons and deserts, repent of the ways we’ve quietly decided “nothing will ever grow here,” and entrust those places again to the One who is already at work bringing life where we least expect it.
